This hair slide is made with solid copper wire or solid brass wire, was
oxidized to emphasize all the details. The barrette was carefully shaped and
wrapped to give a great all day hold for most hair types. It can be bent to
suit your style and volume of hair. Bending both the clip and the pin will give
you maximum fit.

Slide part can also be used separately.

The barrette measures 8.8cm/ 3.5in long and 4.8cm/ 1.9in width, the slide has
12.5cm/ 4.9in.

All of my items are 100% handmade. Each piece is made in the design shown but,
will have slight variations, they are made one at a time and there so, unique.

All the edges were well smoothed so that it will not harm your hair and skin.

***You may need to fix your bun with some additional bobby pins or a gum to
hold better your bun and then add the hair pin, more as a decorative jewel to
your hair.

###How to care for Joinhas

The Joinhas are made of copper, sterling silver or brass. Any of these metals
will oxidize with air and skin contact. As I do not give any chemical to keep
the color of metals, Joinhas will darken naturally. To keep them with a
beautiful appearance you can:
Scrub it with steel wool (a thin steel wool) sold in any supermarket. Try to
rub the steel wool only in metal, I usually put my finger on the stone and rub
around. I advise to put a newspaper underneath because steel wool does many
waste. Then wash the jewelry in warm water, you can use a toothbrush with
dishwashing liquid or soap to leave it clean. Finally rub with a clean, dry,
soft cloth. You can do this as many times as necessary.
Or, you can use a cloth to clean silverware (the washcloth that goes along
with your Joinha) will leave your piece less oxidized, you must be persistent
in rubbing.

For Joinhas not oxidize as quickly save them in a zip-lock bag or an airtight
container.
