Enchanted Leaves Hair Pin -- Blue, Purple, Magenta Leaves, Silver Wire Spirals, Swarovski Crystals, Fairy Hair Pin by Silver Owl Creations

This leafy hair decoration is based on an Amish-made heavy duty stainless
steel U-shaped hairpin. On top of the pin sits a sprig of leaves that I have
hand-colored in shades of brilliant blue, purple, and magenta. Loops and
spirals of tarnish resistant enameled silver plated copper wire decorate the
leaves and fasten them to the pin, and two Swarovski crystals in shades
matching the leaves sparkle in the center.

I have created the colors of the leaves myself using permanent, waterproof
alcohol inks, and sealed them with a weatherproof gloss varnish. The back side
of the leaves is brass with a black finish.

The sprig of leaves is slightly over 7/8" across and slightly under 1 1/2"
tall, and the steel pin extends for approxmately 2 1/4" below the leaves. For
heavier or thicker hair, the pin is best used as a decorative element -- put up
the hair with a stick, bun, or other method of your choice, and then insert the
pin as a decoration. You can also insert the pin to decorate hair that has been
tied back simply or braided.

This hair pin is a great match to the available earrings and pendants made
with similarly colored leaves.
