Hair Stick - Ankh in Walnut Wood

Hand crafted with pride in the USA!

Here is a hair toy patterned after the Ankh. The Ankh, also known as the
Breath of Life or Key of the Nile was the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic that
read 'life'. It was worn by the ancient Egyptian priests who would dress all in
black and play religious music on stringed instruments and skins stretched
across hollow logs at unbelievably loud levels while their frenzied cult
followers would shriek and beat time to the music, arms raised toward heaven
with fingers extended, occasionally even rushing the stage in their delirium
only to be beaten senseless by security. Or was that Black Sabbath I'm thinking
of?

I cut this hair stick out on a scroll saw from solid walnut and hand shaped
and sanded, I then applied Danish oil and paste wax for a smooth, natural
finish that will insert with ease into any hair.

The total length of this hair stick is approx. 6 1/2", with the working
portion being 5". It is approx. 1 1/2" wide at the top, and is just a bit over
1/4" thick.

Want it customized? If you are interested in this or any of my other hair
sticks but might like a different wood or length than that shown, please let me
know - I am happy to custom make any hair stick any way you'd like it. I try to
keep my shop stocked with the following woods, and will not charge extra for
their use: Oak, Maple, Cherry, Ash, Walnut and Mahogany. In addition, I have a
limited supply of the following exotic hardwoods, or may be able to get them
for an added fee: purpleheart, yellowheart, bocote, mora, padauk and
leopardwood. Other woods may be available upon request. Please do not hesitate
