history: Old African bronze hairpin from the Lobi people of Burkina Faso. This
is a cast bronze piece made using the lost wax technique which has for theme
water animals and plants. The central figure is a fish which seems to be
swiming in the waves but the round circular figures could represent nénuphars
which flower after abundant rains. A really pretty and fine piece.
