Our REAL WOOD combs are just perfect for your hair or that messy beard :)!
Hand carved from real wood. All our BAREKNUCKLE Wood Combs are made one at a
time and since each piece of wood is different there may be slight tone and
color differences, sometimes even cool features like rings, splits, burrs and

Our goal with Bareknuckle Wood Combs was pretty straightforward. We wanted to
create a quality comb made from all kinds of healthy and sustainable wood that
wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. We try and keep our designs simple, rustic and
functional. The more hours we spend carving the Mona Lisa into the comb the
more we would have to charge you :) So with that in mind we design and make
classic style combs that are affordable for everyone! Try one for yourself, I
was truly amazed years ago how much nicer my hair look and felt when I first
started using wood combs.

Size -

since they are handmade there is some times variations in size and color.
Typically not more than 1/2".

Plastic and Metal brushes are rough on both your hair and especially the
scalp. Wooden combs are soft and polished and will have a much softer feel than
plastic combs. If you have sensitive skin you should really have one.

Wooden combs also prevent your hair from drying out because they will help
distribute the natural oil from your scalp to your hair. The sebum produced on
the scalp is distributed throughout the whole length of your hair which will
prevent your scalp from getting greasy.

The most common known reason is NO STATIC!!! Unlike plastic combs the wood
combs do not produce static or SNAP your hair. The wood’s properties will not
conduct electricity the way plastic combs do. Static is one of the leading
causes of hair damage.

Long Hair Benefits… Much like our boar brushes we make our wood combs are very
beneficial to folks with long hair because it will evenly distribute the oils
and will give your mane a much shinier, even and lustrous look.

Naturally Detangle… Wood combs will not snap and snag your hair and will work
to naturally detangle your hair without chemicals.

Fights Dandruff… this is another little known fact that most people don’t
realize about wood combs. If you suffer from bouts of dandruff or dry scalp
consider combing your hair more often with a wooden comb.

IT’S GREEN!!! What’s more green than natural wood? Our combs are made from a
variety of woods so see the title for beginning description to see what kinds
of wood is offered. All our wood is sourced from environmentally friendly
sources and most times we make the combs out of a company’s “waste” pile so
what’s more eco friendly than that!

Wood combs come in many styles and we offer quite a wide array from fine
toothed to wide tooth to pocket size to rather large. All combs are made of
PURE WOOD and you will see natural textures, knots, colors etc… each one is
hand signed by the artist. Due to the time it takes to make these we will
normally only have one or two in stock so don’t delay buy today, LOL.

Auction is for ONE COMB, others are pictured to give you an idea of the
product and views from all sides.

Cleaning your wood comb… DO NOT USE WATER… while it’s just fine to comb your
wet hair you don’t want to go soaking this in water overnight. Instead use a
natural oil like JoJoba, Almond Oil etc... to clean and let air dry. If you
take care of your comb it will last a lifetime.

Your wood combs should require little care over the years. They can be wiped
clean with damp cloth if they become dirty. You can make your comb last a
lifetime by wiping a few times a year with oil (coconut, jojoba, almond etc..).

HORN combs can also be wiped cleaned & oiled with lanolin when needed.

All our custom animal hair brushes are made to last and they should require
little care over the years. Oil build up is great but if it gets stinky, you
can rinse and wash them a couple times a year with a mild shampoo and air dry
if needed. Do not soak in water or alcohol. Some shedding is normal when new.
